Say hello to angela grace king who's natural at seduction and who's portrait should be painted by dali himself!

Your Average American Name Is...

Angela Grace King

Who Should Paint You: Salvador Dali

You're a complex, intense creature who displays many layers.
There's no way a traditional portrait could ever capture you!

Your Seduction Style: Au Natural

You rank up there with your seduction skills, though you might not know it.
That's because you're a natural at seduction. You don't realize your power!
The root of your natural seduction power: your innocence and optimism.

You're the type of person who happily plays around and creates a unique little world.
Little do you know that your personal paradise is so appealing that it sucks people in.
You find joy in everything - so is it any surprise that people find joy in you?

You bring back the inner child in everyone you meet with your sincere ways.
Your childlike (but not childish) behavior also inspires others to care for you.
As a result, those who you befriend and date tend to be incredibly loyal to you.

Me...again.

Can't help it! Nedd to post this! It's an old Sound of music song, but it's so...like me...it really is!

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
Brown paper packages tied up with string,
These are a few of my favourite things.

Cream-coloured ponies and crisp apple strudels,
Doorbells and sleighbells and schnitzel with noodles,
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings,
These are a few of my favourite things.

When the dog bites,
When the bee stings,
When I'm feeling bad
I simply remember my favourite things
And then I don't feel so...sad.

Me back on service!

Came around a funny website.Here're two variants for me, I could be whether:
a)Bliss Ninny doesn't understand why people just can't get along. While it is entirely unintentional, Bliss Ninny's utterly vacuous comments can drive the more pugnacious Warriors into a frenzy of aggression. Often in the heat of battle Bliss Ninny will discuss her cat.

b)Furious Typer’s combat strategy is to drown her adversary in a tsunami of angry verbiage. She is absolutely immune to subtlty and ignores all but the barest essentials of any argument. After breifly appraising the gist of her opponent’s counter attack she puts her head down and rapidly fires off long rambling messages replete with grammitical and factual errors. The typical Furious Typer lacks endurance, however, and if the other combatants can weather the initial assault she will quickly exhaust herself and retire from the field.

c)Big Cat would rather not fight...he enjoys peacefully observing forum conversations and laconically participates when the moods strikes. He playfully chases interesting threads, and from time to time uses a Newbie or Propellerhead as a convenient scratching post. He enjoys being stroked or petted, and tends to purr loudly. CAUTION: Don't be fooled by his fuzzy, playful exterior. When provoked, Big Cat reacts with lightning speed and almost always lands on his feet after an attack. Big Cat often indulges himself by toying with his victim before delivering his lethal blows.

d)And finally...Netiquette Nazi is in control and does not tolerate back talk, especially from a sniveling worm like you. She demands the strictest adherence forum protocols and rules of engagement . If you deviate in the slightest you WILL be punished. Even Admin is careful not to attract her ire.

Well, what do YOU think?! I incline to the Big Cat thingy:).

Parade

Well, all I can say it's such a pity I didn't go there last year. And it's very true that around 1/4 population of the globe becomes Irish for a couple of days in March. There were lots of participants and many spectators. My mom didn't go there but she has seen in on TV. Thanks to my personal photographer and reporter Aline:).And Ksju, sorry, I'll mention you in this post: you're the best beginning irish dancer I've ever seen!(and a drinker of course, but not a beginnig one:).A pity Anna couldn't be there, but after all this wasn't the last St.Paddy's parade in our live!Here some photos, I'll post more later when they appear on Iridan's website cause they were taken on profesional cameras and should be great.Now look at mine and my personal reporter's work:

Beannachtai na Feile Padraig!

This was the best St.Paddy's day EVER!I've had so much fun I haven't had for a long time!It's such a pity St.Paddy's day is only once a year...uh...but this was fantastic. We went to a club where I happened to meet some aquaintances and though my feet hurt a bit after so many people stepping on them(beer kept me fresh all along, but unfortunatedly it wasn't green), but still the music was great and the dancing(if mad circles jumping up and down can be calleв dancing...whatever)...I'm glad I went there instead of just going to some cafe.
Have to go to sleep cause tomorrow is the parade and it's 1:15 a.m. already. I guess I won't get any sleep, not this weekend.

Wearing o'the green!

I want to greet everybody with my national holiday and wish to follow The Irish Way of Living(you can also watch and listen to this song on http://www.americangreetings.com/display.pd?bfrom=1&prodnum=3119243&path=32886)

Look up to the sky
The clouds keep changing.
Look down at your feet
The road is rearranging.
The world keeps you guessing
It's pace is unforgiving.
But what never changes
Is the irish way of living.
Be free and be strong,
Live well and live long.
There's a love that keeps on giving-
It's the Irish way of living.
Be good and be true,
Be love and be you.
Be kind and be forgiving-
That's the Irish way of living.
P.S.Check out other cardsw on americangreetings.com, they're fun!

List of Problems

No 1 - headache
No 2 - had no sleep
No 3 - have to do Mme Kartash
No 4 - have absolutely no wish to do it
No 5 - have to go to highlanders tomorrow
No 5 - too worn out for that
No 6 - can't even pretend to be ill cause we're having a performance on friday(gee, will I be a star?)
Plus...well, I wan't say anything, Anna will decide for herself.

It seems the List of Problems could go on for ever and ever, but I'm not complaining, just stating the truth. Oh, and these holidays aren't really going to be holidays: I'll have to write huge essay on a stupid topic 'British people:Stereotypes and Reality' and...well, never mind...it's just...i'm tired.

An Comisiun le rinci gaelacha teastas scrudu rinceori

In English it's easier and shorter: Irish dancers diploma examination. Well, in fact i could be proud of myself, I did better that others, but thanks to self-criticism I think I could have done even better if no my stupid nerves. I'm not the nervous type, but this time I was nervous. The examiner was perfectly nice and pleasant, she told me 'be less nervous' and 'it's ok' and blah but it's easy to say! Thank heavens I have 'lovely carriage', 'really nice style', 'lovely rocks and loose ankles', plus I 'could become an excellent heavy dancer'(for those who're not concearned, 'heavy
dancer' doesn't mean he's fat or something, it just means dancing in hard shoes), 'nice lift' and 'good turning' BUT(big BUT, if not for this BUT I would have had all As)I need to 'keep those feet crossed', 'practise single beats because sometimes I miss them', 'look up', 'don't be nervous' and finally 'have confidence'. Well, as I've said I'm not nervy but this time I freaked out a bit. But overall I'm proud.

P.S.Thanks to Anna who came to rescue me from my highlander friends

Nostalgie

Oh dear, is it spring? Is it spring spleen or what? I came over an illustration to one of my fave books in childhood....it's about an elephant Babar and his family, his adventures. I remember this book to be written in big type, with big colorful illustrations...it was so great...I want to be that small again! I just realized I'm damn 16! I want desperately to feel that again, to feel how great it is to be a 5-year-old!It's strange, isn't it? Amn't I too young for nostalgia? I guess I am, but the thing is...I feel it! I feel it for that quite little town I used to live in for years and years! I want to visit it! Oh my god, i think I'm going crazy, it's hopeless...

79th Anual Academy Awards

Well, this is it! All I can say I'm happy for Helen Mirren, she is worthy! Though I love Judi Dench and Meryl Streep, but these were not their particularly best parts...And Martin, well done, I always adored your brows! Plus The Departed is not a great movie just because it has something to do with Joyce and Irish-Americans, it's just good, don't take me wrong please. But Leo...duh...

Красноармейцам посвящается/Tribute to the Red Army

Today's the day. February 23. Ok, once in a bloody year of 1918 RKRA was arised. I would prefer not to recollect any events of the beginning of XX century, but some of the Soviet posters make me smile. These don't have anything to do with the Red Army, they're just...well, as I've said they make me smile.

Poetry

Do not let your chances, like sunbeams, pass you bye, for you never miss the water 'till the well runs dry.-this is more of a proverbe than a poem, but that's one of my favourites.
But since my favourite poet is Tennyson here's some of his poems i've literary fallen in love with quite long ago:

In the Valley of Cauteretz
All along the valley, stream that flashest white,
Deepening thy voice with the deepening of the night,
All along the valley, where thy waters flow,
I walk'd with one I loved two and thirty years ago.
All along the valley while I walk'd to-day,
The two and thirty years were a mist that rolls away;
For all along the valley, down thy rocky bed
Thy living voice to me was as the voice of the dead,
And all along the valley, by rock and cave and tree,
The voice of the dead was a living voice to me.

Crossing the Bar
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness or farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

Mariana
With blackest moss the flower-plots
Were thickly crusted, one and all:
The rusted nails fell from the knots
That held the pear to the gable-wall.
The broken sheds look'd sad and strange:
Unlifted was the clinking latch;
Weeded and worn the ancient thatch
Upon the lonely moated grange.
She only said, 'My life is dreary,
He cometh not,' she said;
She said, 'I am aweary, aweary,
I would that I were dead!'
Her tears fell with the dews at even;
Her tears fell ere the dews were dried;
She could not look on the sweet heaven,
Either at morn or eventide.
After the flitting of the bats,
When thickest dark did trance the sky,
She drew her casement-curtain by,
And glanced athwart the glooming flats.
She only said, 'The night is dreary,
He cometh not,' she said;
She said, 'I am aweary, aweary,
I would that I were dead!'

Upon the middle of the night,
Waking she heard the night-fowl crow:
The cock sung out an hour ere light:
From the dark fen the oxen's low
Came to her: without hope of change,
In sleep she seem'd to walk forlorn,
Till cold winds woke the gray-eyed morn
About the lonely moated grange.
She only said, 'The day is dreary,
He cometh not,' she said;
She said, 'I am aweary, aweary,
I would that I were dead!'

About a stone-cast from the wall
A sluice with blacken'd waters slept,
And o'er it many, round and small,
The cluster'd marish-mosses crept.
Hard by a poplar shook alway,
All silver-green with gnarled bark:
For leagues no other tree did mark
The level waste, the rounding gray.
She only said, 'My life is dreary,
He cometh not,' she said;
She said, 'I am aweary, aweary,
I would that I were dead!'

And ever when the moon was low,
And the shrill winds were up and away,
In the white curtain, to and fro,
She saw the gusty shadow sway.
But when the moon was very low,
And wild winds bound within their cell,
The shadow of the poplar fell
Upon her bed, across her brow.
She only said, 'The night is dreary,
He cometh not,' she said;
She said, 'I am aweary, aweary,
I would that I were dead!'

All day within the dreamy house,
The doors upon their hinges creak'd;
The blue fly sung in the pane; the mouse
Behind the mouldering wainscot shriek'd,
Or from the crevice peer'd about.
Old faces glimmer'd thro' the doors,
Old footsteps trod the upper floors,
Old voices call'd her from without.
She only said, 'My life is dreary,
He cometh not,' she said;
She said, 'I am aweary, aweary,'
I would that I were dead!'

The sparrow's chirrup on the roof,
The slow clock ticking, and the sound
Which to the wooing wind aloof
The poplar made, did all confound
Her sense; but most she loathed the hour
When the thick-moted sunbeam lay
Athwart the chambers, and the day
Was sloping toward his western bower.
Then, said she, 'I am very dreary,
He will not come,' she said;
She wept, 'I am aweary, aweary,
O God, that I were dead!'

Blow, Bugle, blow
The splendour falls on castle walls
And snowy summits old in story:
The long light shakes across the lakes,
And the wild cataract leaps in glory.
Blow, bugle, blow, set the wild echoes flying,
Blow, bugle; answer, echoes, dying, dying, dying.
O hark, O hear! how thin and clear,
And thinner, clearer, farther going!
O sweet and far from cliff and scar
The horns of Elfland faintly blowing!
Blow, let us hear the purple glens replying:
Blow, bugle; answer, echoes, dying, dying, dying.

O love, they die in yon rich sky,
They faint on hill or field or river:
Our echoes roll from soul to soul,
And grow for ever and for ever.
Blow, bugle, blow, set the wild echoes flying,
And answer, echoes, answer, dying, dying, dying.
